Where To Find Local Wedding Suppliers10:00
I think it's a pretty safe statement to say that most people who are planning their own wedding have no previous wedding experience, so you're basically going in blind. As we're one of the first of our friends to get married we didn't really have anyone who we could look to for supplier recommendations so it was all down to us to seek them out - or at least that's what I thought at the time!
I've recently discovered bidvine whilst on the lookout for a handyman to come and fix a leaky gutter we have and I really wish I'd found it sooner. Bidvine is an online marketplace for local service providers and is a one stop shop for virtually anything you could need from stress management coaching to someone who'll come and build your flat packed furniture. But what I want to talk to you about is the wedding service providers because as I mentioned I really wish there was someone who could of pointed us in the same direction last year.
The website is super easy to use and works really nice on the iPad too, you simply click on the kind of provider you want, for this example I'd selected wedding caterers. Next you ask a few simple questions to make sure that you're getting the correct kind of supplier right for your wedding, I'm talking along the lines of "how many guests are you expecting?", "what type of catering would you like?" and "What budget per person are you working to?". Once you've finished answering your requests gets sent off to local caterers who fit your bill and then all you have to do is sit and wait for the offers to roll in which took less than 24 hours when I was looking for our handyman!
Each supplier then tailors a quote specifically for you and your needs and fires it straight to your account. Some suppliers have ratings so you know that other people have already backed them, which is always comforting when it comes to your wedding day! The only downside is having to turn down people when you know they've spent the time putting a quote together just for you but you can't choose everyone at the end of the day. I'd really recommend giving bidvine a spin if you're looking for a supplier or a professional to help you out, especially if you're money savvy or are working to a tight budget - it's certainly going to be my go to place now!
