I've mentioned my love for a good Christmas hamper on here a few times before but in general we tend to put together foody hampers for our friends and family, from lovely little jams and chutneys from artisan producers, to delicious chocolates and naughty nibbles or sometimes even a cocktail making masterclass in a box. This time I want to talk about something a little different that I like to call a "pamper hamper" which is basically just a hamper of little treats to make someone feel really special, a great alternative than getting someone a "main present".
To make your hamper you need to start by setting your budget and then my usual first job is to pick out a nice hamper, you can go down a traditional wicker route, a nice Christmas box like I have in the photos above or if you're on a tighter budget you can wrap an old shoe box with some thick wrapping paper. If you're making your hamper as a Christmas gift it's a nice idea to include some lovely wintery pieces, I'm talking slipper socks, gloves, a hat or a nice scarf - now depending on how much you want to spend or how much time you have on your hands you could either buy from somewhere or be super personal and knit your own. Deramores have an amazing range of yarn & patterns if you fancy trying the latter!
Next up some winter treats of a different variety, I'm talking hot chocolate kits, candy canes or maybe even a Lindt Santa & his adorable golden reindeers. Beauty treats are always a nice extra, if you know the person super well you could pick them out a lipstick that would be just their colour, or if you're not quite as sure then pick them out some nice bits from lush or body shop!
Let me know if you decide to give this a go this year and what you choose to fill your hamper with!
