The Creative Wedding Fair

A couple of weekends ago me & Liam headed over to The Creative Wedding Fair which was hosted by the amazing Etsy Manchester team at the Whitworth Art Gallery. We've been to a handful of wedding fairs in the past year that all boast about having the best suppliers and all sound really good until you turn up and find the same boring stalls repeated over and over again. Don't get me wrong, they're still useful but if you want to make your day special and stand out you probably won't find what you're looking for there. With that said, Etsy's wedding fair was nothing like we'd been too before, with a gorgeous venue, a live band playing and suppliers that actually make something unique, and to top it off, it's nice to be able to find local suppliers who you can meet face-to-face!

It's safe to say that we've found a couple of suppliers that we'll 100% be using for our big day. By far one of my favourite stalls was Kaye Hannabus Textiles who by coincidence lives in the next village to me, so it's nice to know that everything she creates is so close to home. Her stand was full of absolutely stunning ties, ring cushions, personalised gifts, clutch bags and even dog collars & leads in Liberty & Harris Tweed fabrics. I'm crazy about the clutch bags, they're incredibly understated but super romantic.

Another of my faves was Because I Say Sew who create lovely matching ties & pocket squares in the nicest fabrics, and can create custom orders too. Silver sixpence in her shoe was another highlight of the event for me, they produce really beautiful headpieces and garters, I have my eye on this piece in particular. One last person I wanted to give a shout out to was Nik Bryant photography, we both spoke to him for a while and he seemed like such a genuine guy, and I loved his photography style, if we hadn't already booked our photographer he would of definitely be in the running!
