A Mini Spring Update

11:30

We've made the most of having the long weekend by having a bit of a spring clean and a bit of an interiors update amongst all the chocolate, yummy meals out and a few cocktails too. Can we just have 4 day weekends every week?! One of our favourite rooms, and the one we spend most of our time in is the lounge, I love all the decorations we have in there, bits and pieces that we've collected and added in over time, but after a while you get too used to your surroundings and don't appreciate all your hard work as much so I like to try and mix things up a bit every now and then to give the room a bit of a lift. We have quite a few mid century pieces in the room mixed among more modern pieces (pretty much anything that's copper or Orla Kiely!), and it just feels so cosy and "us".

We were lucky enough to be gifted a genuine G-Plan set of stacking tables by Liam's great uncle a couple of weeks ago who was having a clear out himself, so this weekend we had a bit of a move around and made these a focal point in the room. Of course that meant we could proudly display our Wild & Wolf corded telephone but we also added in some photos for some extra personality. I picked up some cute copper frames from B&M bargains and found this adorable little Sass & Belle pineapple frame from Prezzybox, perfect for a couple of photos of the buns! I was actually super surprised by some of the pieces you can pick up from Prezzybox, I've always considered it to be a place to find quirky birthday or Christmas gifts but they're homeward section is really on point! I also found them cute copper wire tea light holder on there, along with these absolutely incredible copper wire lights. The lights are super fine so they don't look out of place when they're not switched on like most other string lights, and because they're wire you can bend them into any shape you fancy. I used mine to create a lamp look out of our little bar area, I just love how it adds a beautiful warm glow to the bottles and really feels like a one off unique piece that we made ourselves!

You can actually see a couple more snippets of our living room here and here if you want a bit of a nosey, and there as couple more detail shots here too as my contribution to Wayfair's #bringtheoutdoorsin challenge! I know I just love having a little peek into other bloggers humble abodes!
