Graduation Dress Ideas - The LBDs11:30
Over the next couple of months I'm going to be highlighting some of my favourite dresses for graduation. I actually bought my graduation dress a couple of weeks ago, I found this Oasis dress in my local House of Fraser and instantly fell in love, it's silk, the perfect colour for my schools robes, and just really flattering on. I'll be pairing it with a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Brooklyn T-Bar wedges. I know that not everyones graduating, but there's nothing to stop you oggling these dresses for prom, an upcoming wedding or party, or simply as a cheeky payday purchase. I'll be doing a few different types, such as monochrome, colourful, prints, but I thought I'd start with my top 5 LBDs!
1 - Poppy Lace Dress by Jones & Jones. I love the peterpan collar on this dress, along with the skater style skirt. The lace makes it super girly, but yet the structure and fabrics make it classy too.
2 - Cut Out Side Dress Oasis. In general I'd say no to cut outs for graduation, but that's just my personal preference, however I think this dress is classy enough to get away with them. There's a nice metallic zip on the back too which is a nice detail when you're not wearing your robe! My Oasis dress feels really good quality so I imagine this would be the same.
3. Black Embellished Mesh Dress. This dress is classy, girly, and a bit of a bargain at £24! The floral detailing at the top gives it a special added touch.
4. Black Lace Overlay Dress. Out of the 5, this is probably my favourite. I like the fitted structure, and the lace insert which adds a bit of something different to the dress, after all, you want to stand out a bit at your graduation!
5. Catalina Dress by Motel. If Sandy from Grease was going to graduation, I'm pretty sure she'd wear this dress! I've always loved this motel dress, you can get it in a range of colours, plus if you buy it from Motel then you can use the code danielleyc to save 20%!
Which is your favourite? Is there any other types you want me to search for?
