Ladies Day At Aintree

11:30

As promised, here's my post about my day at Ladies Day, Aintree. I had to refrain myself from making this the biggest photo heavy post ever, but if you make the jump over to my facebook page there's quite a few more photos.

I've never been to the Grand National or Ladies Day before, so it was a completely new experience for me, and I had such a good day. I finally got to meet the beautiful Steph, Becca, Amelia and Jess along with some of the lovely people from Matalan, and Jeff Braizer. There was an awkward matching outfit combination going on between myself and one of the lovely Matalan ladies, but we laughed it off and took some snaps, you can find that on my facebook page. Me and the lovely bloggers spent out day watching the Matalan dancers, the style contest and betting on some horses (we didn't win anything!).

The Matalan style contest had some really gorgeous entries, along with some completely OTT choices too. The winner was a guy who'd gone to Ladies Day on his stag do, and he was so made up to win the £5000 prize, he definitely deserved it! There was loads of gorgeous outfits worn by the Matalan dancers too which I'll be keeping an eye out for. It was such a good experience, and well worth the freezing conditions!

I want to thank Matalan for inviting me, and making it such a brilliant day!

  2. Fab! Love these pics, and love how you managed to catch some horses. I loved some of the OTT outfits, I think that's my favourite part! I felt sorry for all the women that fell and then had loads of paps taking photos of them though. Bit harsh!

Next time I'm hoping for beautiful sunshine otherwise I'm wearing walking gear, haha! xx

  4. Ladies day at cheltenham is so much better then the aintree one! The aintree one is reletively new, because it used to be all about one day the grand national day and now theres a few more days at aintree! But if you ever want to go again you should check out cheltenham, the weather is usually better on that week (its like the great british weather loves a good get together) and the dresses and outfits are more spectacular!! xx
