Monday Manicure #19 - Black Ombré

11:30

Thought I'd do a super easy nail "art" post for anyone looking for something a bit different to do next week for Christmas. I say art, there's nothing really arty about them, and they're easily something anyone could do!

This would work with any colours, but I decided to go for a Classy Monochrome Christmas look (I actually did black and silver nails last Christmas too come to think of it). To do these nails, simply take 5 different shades and work from your lightest to darkest shade. Personally I think that darkest always looks best on the thumb, but you do them whichever way you think looks best. To add a bit of Christmas sparkle, I suggest a glittery ring finger like I did.

The colours I used were (left to right); Models Own Matt Black, Barry M Grey, Models Own Slate Grey, Barry M Silver Glitter and Avon French Tip White. I then sealed them with a gloss top coat.

Let me know if you try these out, I'd love to see your versions!
